Tia and Kanoa visited me on Friday, Feb. 26. They decided to place me on "hold" and arranged to adopt me on Saturday from the Hawaiian Humane Society. That evening there was an earthquake in Chile and a tsunami warning was placed on the entire state of Hawai`i, preventing them from taking me home. Fortunately, the warning was cancelled and I waited patiently for their return. Sunday passed and still no sign of them. Early Monday morning another couple came to adopt me, and I assumed I had been forgotten.
Just as doubt started to set in, a tall man with dark hair approached the main gate, closely followed by a short tanned skinned woman. I thought, "Could it be? Is it them?" My ears perked up as I heard the sound of the gate open. When I got a better look, I realized..."It is them! They really DO want to be my new parents!" Everyone could see we were thrilled and relieved to finally be together. It's been two weeks in my new home and my new family adores me.
I am loved, I am happy, I am home at last!
